Our Goals

Our Vision

Helping Hands’ goals are not to simply provide ‘hand-outs’ to the poor and underprivileged but to provide ‘helping hand-ups’, by means of the below-mentioned goals, so that families of poor communities will become long term self-sustainable. Our success is measured by the ability of these people to make wise decisions in the short, medium and long term whereby their living standards, as well as their living conditions, will be improved.


 

Our Major Development Goals

Children’s Education – Poor children provided a good quality standard of education for enhancing their employment opportunities and future lives.
Student’s Vocational Training – Students from 14 yrs upwards vocationally skill trained, and assisted into apprenticeships and/or suitable employment.
Women’s Education & Skills Training – Community women/girls able to pursue employment, and participate in family decision making and community advancements.
Financial Freedom – Community members having sustainable means of income for provision of what is accepted as the basic family necessities.
Health & Hygiene – Improved community and family health and living conditions.
